calligraphy review: Jovica Veljovic

master in calligraphy, type designer, artist of letters, very good teacher.
His letters are always lively, maybe because of his est-european cultural heritage.
Libelle is a font that reminds me french style anglais of Francois Boltana, very sweet and graceful, light but warm.

I met him in 1998

Jovica Veliovic, altro artista calligrafo da annoverare tra i grandi. Disegnatore di caratteri eleganti e per nulla scontati, unisce la sensibilità del segno a un grande rigore formale. Ottimo insegnante.
Nell'immagine "Libelle", un carattere corsivo che ricorda nelle forme la grazia del corsivo di stile francese, alla Boltana, leggero ma caldo.
di lui ricordo "Quando ti viene una cosa bella per caso è perché te lo sei meritato."
